First blink at Sunne

It was a long drive, we are exhausted, but also excited and can’t wait to see what’s ahead of us.

The navigation system, telling us, we are nearly there, we are passing by the first houses of the commune. A golf court appears, green, fresh cut grass on small and wavy hills.

The first placards advertise a few events or the best prices.

We come to enter the small town, laying on the edge of a big lake, scenting the air with minerals. Streets and buildings look tidied up well and taken good care of. Flowers and greens can be seen everywhere – just as you would imagine a small town on the land side.

We stop in a parking lot, hold on for a second and get ready for all the new things.

People carry home their groceries or go back to work from their lunch break. A lot of friendly faces, a few are in a hurry, a few are greeting us friendly, when passing by. All in all the world seems to be a bit more calm and slowed down, compared to the life we know.

We walked along the streets, farer down the town. Loud music with lots of bases cuts through the air and a car, as low, as only a cent might fit under it, with two teens inside of it appears. We are a bit confused, the kids might have fun, laugh and wave at people they pass by.

For us, as we are not used to the A-Tracs in Värmland yet, something pretty interesting, but also somehow confusing.

We ended our round and returned to the car. Got back on the street and drove to the northern part of Sunne town. Took another break and got lost in the sight over Övre Fryken, inhaled the clear and fresh air and enjoyed the warm silence of this place.

Have a great day and best wishes
