During the next 30 years his career enabled him to travel the world and work in many countries including, Bermuda, Japan, Indonesia, Australia, Germany and now Sweden. Completing his training in London England he decided to travel and headed for Bermuda. There he learned the art of styling afro Caribbean hair and so began the search to become a complete hairdresser one who could work on the hair of the world. Next stop was Tokyo Japan; here he extended his skills by working with Asian hair and learning new hairdressing techniques. At the time he was the only non Japanese hair dresser in Japan, this meant that soon he was styling hair for most of the international visitors who came to Tokyo. He was elected chairman of the Hairdressing federation for the south Eastern region and became a Hairdressing competition judge. In 1992 he was honoured with an award for outstanding services to the Hairdressing industry. In 1993 Looking for new challenges he sold his company and moved to Indonesia. After spending 5 years in Surabaya where he set up a successful hairdressing school, he moved to Jakarta. Along with a friend he opened a Hairdressing salon, KMD which over the next 5 years established it’s self as one of Jakarta’s premier salons and a favourite with the expat community. He travelled the world presenting seminars and passing on knowledge gained from cutting the hair of the world. In 2004 by chance he found the final piece of his personal jigsaw, he sold up for the final time and moved to Sunne. KMD was re opened and now styles the hair for customers from all corners of Sweden; David and his Fiancée Anna have recently bought a farm on the outskirts of Sunne where they will soon move too with their 4 month old son, Elliot.
